  1. Ask the building manager what the mail carrier needs on the box or buzzer.
  2. Use an initial and last name, or last name only, rather than a full first name.
  3. Use the same format on delivery accounts where you can.
  4. Send packages to a locker, a pickup point or work if deliveries sit outside.
  5. Shred or tear up envelopes and labels before putting them in shared recycling.
  6. Collect mail regularly; a full mailbox shows you are away.
