Steps

  1. Pick three or four meals that share ingredients, such as rice, chicken and peppers.
  2. Write one shopping list grouped by store section.
  3. Cook a batch of grain, one or two proteins and a tray of roasted vegetables.
  4. Make one sauce or dressing that ties them together.
  5. Cool food quickly and store each part in its own container.
  6. Put portions for days five onward in the freezer.
  7. Mix the parts differently each day: bowls, wraps, salads.
